Episode 446-How Shall I Live, Knowing That I Shall Die?-Live on Pride48.comf

Once again, I got the opportunity to fill in on Pride48.com when Gay Country Wes was not able to do his live show. Also, I had only a few minutes to think about what I wanted to talk about.

Between watching "The Quarterback" episode of Glee--where they memorialize Finn/Corey Monteith--and reading the Wayne Muller book, *How Then Shall We Live?", I realized that was where I needed to go. Approaching the question of what one would do with the finite amount of time they have on the earth is not as morbid as one would think. It's kinda exciting, actually, and I do my best to go there...

Music:

(Intro) "Deep Cycle Discharge" by Mevio Music Alley artists Simon James and Derek. K. Miller

"Here I Am" by Mevio Music Alley artist Christopher Dale

"Be Here Now" by Mevio Music Alley group The Freedom People (the link on Mevio is broken)

Episode 429-The American Idol Update-The Top 4

Your two favorite podcasting prognosticators are back to dissect the Top 4 week of American Idol. The competition consisted of a round of contestants' choices, two duets, and a questionably-handled viewer-chosen theme of "One Hit Wonders." (I voted for that one)!

So, who did we like, and who do we think is going home? Also, what's with the extra week in the broadcast schedule? For our predictions, plus the usual goofy fun you've come to love, listen now!

Episode 425-The American Idol Update-The Top 8

Tom was on business and not able to watch the show, so I'm flying solo tonight.

This week's theme was "Detroit Music," which gave the contestants more than just Motown to attempt. Still, every competing song was Motown. Come on, somebody, do some Uncle Kracker!!!!

Anyway, I still talk about who I like, who I don't, and I make my "Bottom 3" predictions.

Not as fun without Tom, though…

Oh, well, there's always next week!

Thanks always for listening!

Teaching a Lent class

My new job at the Wonder Emporium

My new hair color--related to the Wonder Emporium.

Episode 419-Thank You, BSA! (Live on Pride48)

This is a re-broadcast of a live show I did on Pride48.com.

Congratulations to John Kerrey for being confirmed as Secretary of State, and thank you, Hillary Rodham Clinton, for your amazing service as Secretary of State!

According to its national spokesperson, the Boy Scouts of America will be rolling back its national prohibition on gay scouts and leaders and leaving it to the local chartering organizations to decide whether or not to open the local troop's membership to gays. I talk about why this is actually the best way it could be done--at least for now.
